Xicu's beginnings were quite tender and introspective with his works 'sol' and 'BLAU'. A year later, the artist returned with new music and presented us with a more powerful and dark live show that took us on a journey through an imaginary of unbridled love and heartbreak with his EP '22' (Delirics, 2023). A work that featured powerful collaborations such as Julieta, Teuma Thug (P.A.W.N Gang) and Galgo Lento.
Now, Xicu has just embarked on a new musical path with 'Sacrificis', a new album that he published last September and which he will present next January 16 at La Nau in Barcelona.
'Sacrificis' is a work of experimental pop where the lyrics play a leading role and the music simply accompanies the stories being told. It is a dense and raw disc loaded with varied textures and bold and unconventional sounds. Going through different moods and emotions, Xicu explores the concept of "sacrifice": sacrificing friendships for music, sacrificing for the family, for the partner, for oneself... and invites us, in this way , to discover a universe - apparently dark -, but which hides a lot of light inside.
But Xicu still has more music to give us and he does it this Christmas with his new single 'AYE', written and produced by himself, this track is a collection of scattered thoughts in which the Catalan artist reflects on his style, your identity and your sound, and how all of this directly affects the way you relate to someone romantically. 'AYE' explains how the character that Xicu wants to create, is more and more similar to his person.
With references such as Rusowsky, Ralphie Choo or Tristán!, and styles ranging from experimental pop, Urban or Jersey Club, Xicu takes us on an endless journey of emotions with his new album 'Sacrifices' and his new single 'AYE'!
