P.A.W.N GANG, Pretty Ass White Niggas Gang, is the source of inspiration for a whole promotion of urban style artists and groups, a movement that today has already become the musical and cultural phenomenon of a whole country! 2011 was the year of birth of P.A.W.N GANG and since then, their popularity has been growing by making a style totally unknown at that time in Catalonia. They are the pioneers, the referents of this movement. They even came to devise and publish a dictionary with the slang words Trap now used by a whole generation!
Time goes by, but P.A.W.N GANG is still more active than ever. After the resounding success of their last mixtape 'RESPAWN' (Delirics, 2022), an album that has been a before and after in the musical career of the Catalan artists, as it represents ten years of trajectory as a group, P.A.W.N continued to surprise us with tracks like 'Sassa', an afrotrap that meant the closing of this stage; 'Ganas', the first House beat of the P.A.W.N GANG or, 'La Paka', a corrido in Catalan, a style never seen before in this language. Recently they closed the celebration of the 'RESPAWN' tour -which has been a success with sold out venues such as Sala Wolf in Barcelona- where they have revived throughout 2023, in concerts, the entire trajectory of so many years of this pioneering band.
Now, they have just started a new stage with their latest single 'CHiKAGO', a song inspired by the Chicago Flow Drill of the years 2012-2015; and with 'Penthaus', a second advance of a new work, with which they return to consolidate themselves as the kings of the scene, breaking schemes of an urban scene that cohabits with commercial music.
'Penthaus' is Trap in the purest P.A.W.N Gang style with the six members and mastered by Hacha (Krakhaus). In this song produced by Myto, P.A.W.N claims that their concept is real and is based on their lifestyle beyond the ideals of a society that increasingly seeks to be more "free", but being politically correct, which makes the essence of musical genres is lost.
